1. My child, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments;

2. for length of days and years of life and abundant welfare they will give you.

3. Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

4. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and of people.

5. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.

6. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

7. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

8. It will be a healing for your flesh and a refreshment for your body.

1. हे मेरे पुत्र, मेरी शिक्षा मत भूल, बल्कि तू मेरे आदेश अपने हृदय में बसा ले।

2. क्योंकि इनसे तेरी आयु वर्षों वर्ष बढ़ेगी और ये तुझको समपन्न कर देगें।

7. अपनी ही आँखों में तू बुद्धिमान मत बन, यहोवा से डरता रह और पाप से दूर रह।

8. इससे तेरा शरीर पूर्ण स्वस्थ रहेगा और तेरी अस्थियाँ पुष्ट हो जायेंगी।

1. See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

2. Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is.

3. And all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

4. Everyone who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.

5. You know that he was revealed to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.

6. No one who abides in him sins; no one who sins has either seen him or known him.

7. Little children, let no one deceive you. Everyone who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.

8. Everyone who commits sin is a child of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

9. Those who have been born of God do not sin, because God’s seed abides in them; they cannot sin, because they have been born of God.

10. The children of God and the children of the devil are revealed in this way: all who do not do what is right are not from God, nor are those who do not love their brothers and sisters. Love One Another

12. We must not be like Cain who was from the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous.

3. हर कोई जो उस पर ऐसी आशा रखता है, वह अपने आपको वैसे ही पवित्र करता है जैसे मसीह पवित्र है।

4. जो कोई पाप करता है, वह परमेश्वर के नियम को तोड़ता है क्योंकि नियम का तोड़ना ही पाप है।

5. तुम तो जानते ही हो कि मसीह लोगों के पापों को हरने के लिए ही प्रकट हुआ और यह भी, कि उसमें कोई पाप नहीं है।

6. जो कोई मसीह में बना रहता है, पाप नहीं करता रहता और हर कोई जो पाप करता रहता है उसने न तो उसके दर्शन किए हैं और न ही कभी उसे जाना है।

7. हे प्यारे बच्चों, तुम कहीं छले न जाओ। वह जो धर्म पूर्वक आचरण करता रहता है, धर्मी है। ठीक वैसे ही जैसे मसीह धर्मी है।

4. I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

5. Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the friends, even though they are strangers to you;

6. they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on in a manner worthy of God;

7. for they began their journey for the sake of Christ, accepting no support from non-believers.

8. Therefore we ought to support such people, so that we may become co-workers with the truth. Diotrephes and Demetrius

9. I have written something to the church; but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself first, does not acknowledge our authority.

10. So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing in spreading false charges against us. And not content with those charges, he refuses to welcome the friends, and even prevents those who want to do so and expels them from the church.

11. Beloved, do not imitate what is evil but imitate what is good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.

12. Everyone has testified favorably about Demetrius, and so has the truth itself. We also testify for him, and you know that our testimony is true. Final Greetings

1. यूहन्ना की ओर से: प्रिय मित्र, गयुस के नाम जिसे मैं सत्य में सहभागी के रूप में प्रेम करता हूँ।

2. हे मेरे प्रिय मित्र, मैं प्रार्थना करता हूँ कि तू जैसे आध्यात्मिक रूप से उन्नति कर रहा है, वैसे ही सब प्रकार से उन्नति करता रह और स्वास्थ्य का आनन्द उठाता रह।

11. हे प्रिय मित्र, बुराई का नहीं बल्कि भलाई का अनुकरण करो! जो भलाई करता है, वह परमेश्वर का है! जो बुराई करता है, उसने परमेश्वर को नहीं देखा।

1. After this Jesus went to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, also called the Sea of Tiberias.

2. A large crowd kept following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing for the sick.

3. Jesus went up the mountain and sat down there with his disciples.

4. Now the Passover, the festival of the Jews, was near.

5. When he looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread for these people to eat?”

6. He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he was going to do.

7. Philip answered him, “Six months’ wages would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little.”

8. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,

9. “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people?”

10. Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was a great deal of grass in the place; so they sat down, about five thousand in all.

11. Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted.

12. When they were satisfied, he told his disciples, “Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing may be lost.”

13. So they gathered them up, and from the fragments of the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten, they filled twelve baskets.

14. When the people saw the sign that he had done, they began to say, “This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world.”

1. इसके बाद यीशु गलील की झील (यानी तिबिरियास) के उस पार चला गया।

2. और उसके पीछे-पीछे एक अपार भीड़ चल दी क्योंकि उन्होंने रोगियों को स्वास्थ्य प्रदान करने में अद्भुत चिन्ह देखे थे।

3. यीशु पहाड़ पर चला गया और वहाँ अपने अनुयायियों के साथ बैठ गया।

4. यहूदियों का फ़सह पर्व निकट था।

5. जब यीशु ने आँख उठाई और देखा कि एक विशाल भीड़ उसकी तरफ़ आ रही है तो उसने फिलिप्पुस से पूछा, “इन सब लोगों को भोजन कराने के लिए रोटी कहाँ से खरीदी जा सकती है?”

6. यीशु ने यह बात उसकी परीक्षा लेने के लिए कही थी क्योंकि वह तो जानता ही था कि वह क्या करने जा रहा है।

7. फिलिप्पुस ने उत्तर दिया, “दो सौ चाँदी के सिक्कों से भी इतनी रोटियाँ नहीं ख़रीदी जा सकती हैं जिनमें से हर आदमी को एक निवाले से थोड़ा भी ज़्यादा मिल सके।”

8. यीशु के एक दूसरे शिष्य शमौन पतरस के भाई अन्द्रियास ने कहा,

9. “यहाँ एक छोटे लड़के के पास पाँच जौ की रोटियाँ और दो मछलियाँ हैं पर इतने सारे लोगों में इतने से क्या होगा।”

10. यीशु ने उत्तर दिया, “लोगों को बैठाओ।” उस स्थान पर अच्छी खासी घास थी इसलिये लोग वहाँ बैठ गये। ये लोग लगभग पाँच हजार पुरुष थे।

11. फिर यीशु ने रोटियाँ लीं और धन्यवाद देने के बाद जो वहाँ बैठे थे उनको परोस दीं। इसी तरह जितनी वे चाहते थे, उतनी मछलियाँ भी उन्हें दे दीं।

12. जब उन के पेट भर गये यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों से कहा, “जो टुकड़े बचे हैं, उन्हें इकटठा कर लो ताकि कुछ बेकार न जाये।”

13. फिर शिष्यों ने लोगों को परोसी गयी जौ की उन पाँच रोटियों के बचे हुए टुकड़ों से बारह टोकरियाँ भरीं।

14. यीशु के इस आश्चर्यकर्म को देखकर लोग कहने लगे, “निश्चय ही यह व्यक्ति वही नबी है जिसे इस जगत में आना है।”

1. അനന്തരം യേശു തിബെര്യാസ് എന്ന ഗലീലക്കടലിന്റെ അക്കരെക്കു പോയി.

6. ഇതു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിപ്പാനത്രേ ചോദിച്ചതു; താൻ എന്തു ചെയ്‍വാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നു താൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

7. ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് അവനോടു: ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അല്പമല്പം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇരുനൂറു പണത്തിന്നു അപ്പം മതിയാകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

8. ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായി ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസ് അവനോടു:

9. ഇവിടെ ഒരു ബാലകൻ ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ പക്കൽ അഞ്ചു യവത്തപ്പവും രണ്ടു മീനും ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും ഇത്രപേർക്കു അതു എന്തുള്ളു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10. “ആളുകളെ ഇരുത്തുവിൻ ” എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു. ആ സ്ഥലത്തു വളരെ പുല്ലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അയ്യായിരത്തോളം പുരുഷന്മാർ ഇരുന്നു.

11. പിന്നെ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി, ഇരുന്നവർക്കു പങ്കിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ മീനും വേണ്ടുന്നേടത്തോളം കൊടുത്തു.

12. അവർക്കു തൃപ്തിയായശേഷം അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: “ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം ഒന്നും നഷ്ടമാക്കാതെ ശേഖരിപ്പിൻ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. അഞ്ചു യവത്തപ്പത്തിൽ തിന്നു ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം അവർ ശേഖരിച്ചു പന്ത്രണ്ടു കൊട്ട നിറച്ചെടുത്തു.

14. അവൻ ചെയ്ത അടയാളം ആളുകൾ കണ്ടിട്ടു: ലോകത്തിലേക്കു വരുവാനുള്ള പ്രവാചകൻ ഇവൻ ആകുന്നു സത്യം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
